Every ship is required to implement specific rules and regulations (ISM code, MCA publication, IMO Resolution A.1050 (27), ISGOTT Chapter 10 and MSC.1/Circ 1401) regarding enclosed space entry, which is considered a potentially hazardous activity on board a vessel. The aim of this course is to prepare the individual to understand the procedures that need to be followed in order to enter an enclosed space, to recognize the potential hazards and complete a rescue operation safely. Gas Detection Equipment – Calibration, Communication, Main Duties, Emergency procedures and rescue requirements, the correct use of SCBA, are some of the subjects of the course.
