About the Instructor
Capt. Sokratis Tigkos graduated from Merchant Marine Academy of Hydra. He served as deck cadet, progressing to Chief Officer, and in 2020 he completed the exams for captain’s diploma Class A. He started his career in a shipping company as Marine Superintended and then transitioned to Crew & Marine Manager. Now serving as DPA, he oversees crew, safety, and marine operations while contributing regularly to a nautical magazine.
